Mathematics is the branch of study of science which deals with the number, quantity and space. For kids mathematics is a tough subject to understand. There is a lot of confusion with the numbers for kids. In mathematics there are certain rules that you have to follow while you are learning or practicing with numbers. Basically, kids don’t understand the rule and faces a lot of problems. For kids it is necessary to make them understand the basic rules or numbers in mathematics. Mathematics helps in our day to day life, so it is necessary to understand. Here we will deal with some of the basic numbers in mathematics:
Integer number: it is defined as a whole number. There are two types of integers in mathematics i.e. positive and negative integers. Positive integer starts from 0, 1, 2, 3…… and negative integer starts from
-1, -2, -3 ….
Even number: it is defined as a number divisible by 2 i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10…..
Odd number: it is defined as a whole number, having one left over as remainder when divided by 2 i.e. 1, 3, 5, 7…….
Natural number: it is defined as the positive integer i.e. 1, 2, 3…… and sometimes zero as well.
Prime number: it is defined as a number divisible only by itself one such as (2, 3, 5, 7, 11).
Composite number: it is defined as the product of two or more factors greater than unity, not prime. Even numbers are composite number.
Factorial number: it is defined as the product of an integer and all the integers below it i.e. factorial four means 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24.
At last numbers for kids is very important to understand. What is Mean? The Answer to this question is well described in west Bengal board of secondary education syllabus.
